IMPORTANT 2021 GIVING INCENTIVES!
The Cares Act 2020 provided taxpayers with charitable giving incentives when supporrting qualified 501c3 organizations, such us Parkview Baptist School. The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (CAA, Public Law No. 116-260) was signed into law on December 27, 2020 which exanded the above the line deduction up to $600 and extended the individual taxpayer charitable giving incentives through 2021. - Taxpayers who DO NOT ITEMIZE can take up to a $300 (individual) and $600 (joint) above the line deduction for charitable CASH (checks, debit, and credit card transactions) gifts made by December 31, 2021. This will reduce your adjusted gross income by up to $600. - Taxpayers who DO ITEMIZE can fully deduct gifts equal to as much as 100% of their adjusted gross income for charitable gifts made by December 31, 2021. As always, please consult with your tax adviser for their recommendations on what giving options would be best for your personal circumstances.
